Cathleen Collins

Chief Development Officer, Mission Hospital Foundation

Cathleen Collins joined Mission Hospital in December 2013 as the Chief Development Officer to lead the Mission Hospital Foundation. With more than 20 years of expertise in foundation operations, Cathleen has earned a reputation as a dedicated and effective leader throughout several nonprofit associations in fields ranging from education and public affairs to health care. Her professional fundraising experience spans across numerous organizations, including the American Heart Association, the University of California and Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children's). She is best known for her strategic thinking and ability to produce substantial revenue growth.

Cathleen discovered her passion to make a difference early in life. She began working with the elderly and special needs children as a teen, and her commitment continued into adulthood. After college, she pursued a philanthropic career in academic medicine and clinical health care. She has held positions at premiere medical institutions, including the University of California at San Francisco, Catholic Healthcare West and United Cerebral Palsy. Cathleen also led the major gift fundraising efforts for the Neuroscience and Heart Institutes at CHOC Children's. Most recently, she served as the Chief Executive Officer at United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County (UCP-OC) where she led the organization through a successful financial recovery. Cathleen is credited for her work at UCP-OC to create a more sustainable, responsive and family centered organization with a diversified funding stream.

Cathleen received her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California. She lives in Orange County with her two daughters.
