MISSION VIEJO, CA – The Microsoft Store at The Shops at Mission Viejo has generously committed to supporting Mission Hospital's 15th Annual Valiant Women Luncheon as the annual fundraiser's Title Sponsor. Microsoft's sponsorship is the single largest sponsorship commitment in history of the Valiant Women Luncheon for the second year in a row. The event will be held Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. Each year, this sell-out, 500-guest luncheon is planned by members of the Valiant Women support group of Mission Hospital. The event includes a silent auction, luncheon, luxury opportunity drawing packages (valued at up to $4,700), and a runway fashion show featuring clothing and accessories from retailers at The Shops at Mission Viejo and modeled by Mission Hospital nurses and affiliated physicians. Last year's event raised net proceeds of nearly $125,000 for Mission Women's Wellness Center, Mission Maternity Center and nursing scholarships.
"Our community is very fortunate to have access to Mission Hospital's state-of-the-art facilities and technology," said Michael Soto, store manager at the Microsoft Store at The Shops at Mission Viejo. "Their whole staff is committed to providing the most advanced patient care, and the Microsoft Store is honored to support such an outstanding hospital." In addition to the Microsoft Store's generous Spirit of Giving as Title Sponsor, the 2011 luncheon is supported by Presenting Sponsor: Lisa Dale of Seabreeze Management Company, Inc.; Valiant Sponsors: The Shops at Mission Viejo, Monex Precious Metals - Michael and Vicky Carabini; Tom and Margarita Solazzo, the Cummings family, the Young family, and Mission Hospital's Executive Team; Regal Sponsors: Dr. Howard Cheng and Dr. Sharon Bae-Cheng, Coast Radiology Imaging & Intervention, Inc., Golden State Foods, Igor and Jeanne Olenicoff, Marleen and Jim Quandt
Mission Hospital nurses and affiliated physicians, including Mission Hospital's President and Chief Executive Officer Peter F. Bastone, will model the latest spring fashions from Arden B., Banana Republic, Cache, Fredric H. Rubel Jewelers, Tommy Bahama, White Houses/Black Market, and ZARA, all from The Shops at Mission Viejo.
