The newly opened Microsoft Store at The Shops at Mission Viejo has committed to supporting Mission Hospital's 14th Annual Valiant Women Luncheon as the annual fundraiser's title sponsor. Microsoft's sponsorship is the single largest sponsorship commitment in history of the Valiant Women Luncheon. The event will be held Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. Each year, this sell-out, 500-guest luncheon is planned by members of the Valiant Women support group of Mission Hospital. The event includes a silent auction, luncheon, luxury opportunity drawing packages (valued at up to $4,900), and a runway fashion show featuring clothing and accessories from retailers at The Shops at Mission Viejo. Last year's fundraiser raised net proceeds of nearly $115,000 for Mission Women's Wellness Center, Mission Maternity Center and nursing scholarships.
"Mission Hospital has taken patient diagnostics and treatment to unprecedented levels with their tremendous investment in technology and focus on patient care. The Microsoft Store is humbled by their community leadership and values the opportunity to support such an outstanding cause." Said Walter Zausch Store Manager, The Microsoft Store at The Shops at Mission Viejo. In addition to The Microsoft Store's generous Spirit of Giving as Title Sponsor, the 2010 luncheon is supported by Presenting Sponsor: Lisa Dale of Seabreeze Management Company, Inc.; and Valiant-level sponsors: The Shops at Mission Viejo, Monex Precious Metals - Michael and Vicky Carabini; John and Monique Staples, and Mission Hospital's Executive Team.
"As a new partner in our community, we appreciate The Microsoft Store's immediate understanding of the advanced care that Mission Hospital provides and their generous support," said Winnie Johnson, Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Mission Hospital. "We are equally as grateful to our presenting and Valiant-level sponsors for their continued support over the years."
Tickets are available for $100 per person or $1,000 per table of ten. Mission Hospital nurses and affiliated physicians, including Mission Hospital's President and Chief Executive Officer Peter F. Bastone, will model the latest spring fashions from Banana Republic, Fredric H. Rubel Jewelers, White House/Black Market, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tommy Bahama, all from The Shops at Mission Viejo. Makeup will be provided by Smashbox from Nordstrom Mission Viejo and hairstyling will be provided by Salon Diva, Laguna Niguel.
