Family Resource Centers
Established in 1996, the South Orange County Family Resource Center (SOC FRC) has been serving approximately 5000 people each year. In 1998, the
Community Health Enrichment Collaborative Family Resource Center (CHEC FRC) opened to better serve the residents of San Juan Capistrano and neighboring communities. The Family Resource Centers bring together services and activities that educate, support and provide resources to families.
Programs include parent education classes, support groups, counseling services, teen programs health/safety programs and information/resources. Many programs are offered in Spanish and can be provided in the community at local schools, churches or in a family member's home. The SOC FRC is a collaborative effort between Mission Hospital, The Raise Foundation, Children's Bureau of Southern California, and Community Service Programs, Inc. (CSP). The CHEC FRC is a collaborative effort between Mission Hospital, Orange County Social Services Agency, Mission Basilica, The Raise Foundation, and the City of San Juan Capistrano.
