Rehabilitation Services

Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility

Our goal is to enable people with disabling conditions to achieve their goals and to pursue life with meaning and purpose. And we've done it - our Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) consistently ranks among the top 10 percent in the nation for positive results for rehabilitative services. In 2008, the average total hospital stay for our patients suffering from a traumatic brain injury was 14 days shorter than the regional average.

Brain Injury

Due to our aggressive management of brain injury, the rehabilitation process leads to significant recovery. Once patients are medically stable and able to participate in an intensive rehabilitation program they are transitioned to the Acute Rehabilitation Unit. We actively involve the patient and family in rehabilitation care planning in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists. The team helps the patient and family plan for return to home and reintegration back into the community and work.

Neurological Diseases

We routinely care for patients with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, polyneuropathy, Guillain-Barre and other neuromuscular diseases. We work with you to return you as close as possible to your previous lifestyle, while focusing on learning to adapt to your current condition.

Orthopedic Conditions

We specialize in rehabilitation from hip fractures, femur fractures, amputation and polio-arthritis. Physicians and physical therapists work together as your personal rehabilitation team to evaluate and treat each specific condition and assist you in your recovery, returning you to your optimal level of function.

Spinal Cord Injury

We offer services to patients who have damaged the spinal cord and those recovering from surgery. Our programs focus on occupational and physical therapy to help morale and foster independence.

Our stroke rehabilitation programs focus on speech, occupational and physical therapy to work toward a return to optimum function. We consistently return patients to community living both faster and more often than regional and national health care providers.
