Stroke Center

When someone you love is experiencing a stroke and requires emergency care, it is reassuring to know that expert help is immediately available. Stroke response requires a dedicated team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Mission Stroke Center is committed to our community to diagnose, treat and manage patients suffering from a stroke.

Offering the region's most comprehensive neurologic care, The Joint Commission named Mission Hospital a Primary Stroke Center, recognizing Mission's team of experts for following rigorous national standards and guidelines that can significantly improve outcomes for stroke patients. Mission Hospital is also an Orange County Emergency Medical Services designated Stroke-Neurology Receiving Center, and the only hospital in south Orange County providing advanced neurologic care for stroke.

Clinical Commitment

Mission Stroke Center has a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who have developed stroke protocols, evidence based orders and other diagnostic tools to provide consistent and specialized system for delivery of care to stroke patients. From emergency room to the stroke unit to rehabilitation, the Mission Stroke Center specializes in the treatment of stroke patients through the entire continuum of care.

Our Progressive Care & Stroke Unit is staffed by specially trained affiliated physicians and nurses certified to treat patients suffering from a stroke. As part of our patient-and-family centered care, we offer a nourishment room and relaxing lounge for visiting families and friends.
