Mission Hospital and AccessOC Bring Positive Change to Patients
Super Surgery Saturday
Mission Hospital hosted a Super Surgery Saturday on October 8 where eight
Orange County residents received free surgeries, underscoring our dedication
to continually improve the health and quality of life of people in the
communities we serve. In addition, 7 patients were treated for their health
condition without the need for surgery.
One such patient was Ana Maria who for the past three years has had a ganglion
cyst on her left wrist that has made lifting heavy objects like bags,
her purse, and her niece difficult. While working at a hotel as a housekeeper,
she has pain while doing her daily tasks such as making beds, vacuuming,
and mopping. Her ganglion cyst excision, performed by Dr. Herbert Eidt,
MD, orthopedic surgeon, should alleviate Ana Maria’s suffering.
“Heaven has a special place for everyone here at Mission Hospital
helping me to get my surgery. Thank you,” declared Ana Maria.
We thank AccessOC, for the sacred opportunity to extend the healing ministry
of Jesus to members of our underserved community. We also thank our hardworking
physicians, nurses, techs and interpreters that contributed to the success
of this day. We are proud of our generous staff whose actions embodied
our values, and whose service demonstrated our promise to excellence.
It was truly a memorable day.
