Today, over one-third of all hospital patients in south Orange County come to Mission Hospital. Current projections estimate that this region will grow 30% by 2010. As a result, more healthcare services are needed, especially for those acutely ill.

Mission Hospital remains focused on responding to these anticipated needs and on improving community health as part of our Spirit of Giving SM. As such, we have embarked on a multi-year campus expansion plan to help ensure that key services are there when you need them. Just some of the initial activities include Muldoon Cardiac Center, Mission Conference Center, Swenson Family Pediatric Operating Pavilion, Camino Health Center expansion and relocation, The Auxiliary of Mission Hospital Lab, Emergency/Trauma Department expansion, a new parking structure, a new four-story patient tower and chapel, and a new five-story medical office building.

Expanding patient care services and adding the much-needed patient beds represent a serious investment and is an integral part of our hospital’s Spirit of Giving. Mission Hospital appreciates the generous support from the many philanthropic partners who share their Spirit of Giving through financial gifts, volunteerism and more to make this expansion possible. These collective efforts will help ensure that our world-class care remains available at a moment's notice.
