Mission Cancer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center, the highest honor available to cancer programs offered by non-academic hospitals. The center is also a satellite research center for City of Hope.
Patients can feel confident that they are being treated by south county's most experienced cancer specialists. Our team of surgeons and plastic surgeons are board-certified specialists. More than 80 percent of our oncology staff are recognized as Oncology Certified Nurses (OCN) by the Oncology Nursing Society. Our radiation therapy department has state-of-the-art linear accelerators, treatment planning computers and a skilled radiation therapy staff, including physicians, a physicist, radiation therapists and specialized registered nurses.
Our multidisciplinary teams focus on treating the whole person: body, mind and spirit. The center offers compassionate care, state-of-the-art therapies, and services to meet the needs of oncology patients and their families.
