Emergency Department and Gotschall Trauma Pavilion

To meet the staggering increase in community need, Mission expanded and renovated our emergency and trauma services, increasing the size by 45%. This expansion provides dedicated pediatric treatment rooms and an imaging room within in the Emergency Department. The expanded trauma services were possible thanks to a generous $3 million gift from the Gotschall family. "We see this as an opportunity to give back to our community in a meaningful and lasting way," said Susan Gotschall. In recognition of the gift, Mission Hospital‘s Regional Trauma Center was named the Gotschall Trauma Pavilion in honor of the Gotschall family. Mission Hospital is south Orange County's designated trauma center and one of only three in Orange County.
