In this important role, Seth is responsible for driving Mission’s success as the premier health care provider in South Orange County through the growth of high-quality clinical services and delivering exceptional patient experience. He oversees all aspects of acute care services at the Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach hospital campuses, as well as Mission’s clinics, ambulatory centers and other associated business lines.

Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer of Mission Hospital Laguna Beach

Michael Beck serves as the Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Mission Hospital Laguna Beach. In this role, Beck is responsible for the overall planning, development, coordination, implementation and management of all administrative functions, services and business development for the Laguna Beach campus. He will ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care consistent with the mission and values of Mission Hospital, resulting in patient care at Laguna Beach reaching the highest levels of quality and service.

Vice President, Human Resources

Terri Covert has been with Mission Hospital since 2002, where she came from St. Joseph Hospital. From the moment she joined Mission Hospital, Covert’s steady judgment and passionate advocacy for the dignity and development of our staff has had a lasting, positive impact on the culture at Mission Hospital. Covert’s responsibilities include the HR staff, Occupational Health and HR operations, as well as the primary liaison with the health system HR team.

Chief Nursing Officer

Jennifer Cord joined Mission Hospital in November 2017 as the Chief Nursing Officer. Cord is responsible for organizing, planning, directing and evaluating Mission Hospital nursing services across both the Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach campuses. As a member of the Executive Team, she provides leadership and actively guides the patient care and nursing teams in order to achieve the organizational mission and strategic goals as well as to sustain ANCC Magnet Designation through a continuous commitment to meet the Magnet concepts and ANA Nursing Administration Scope and Standards of Practice.

Lauren Dwinell, MD
Vice President, Patient Flow

Dr. Lauren Dwinell has been part of the Mission Hospital medical staff since 2002, serving in a variety of leadership position, including Co-Chair of the Women’s and Infant clinical institute and Chief of Staff. Dr. Dwinell now serves as Vice President of Patient Flow where her responsibilities include the management how our patients move throughout all areas of the hospital. Dr. Dwinell has oversight to Care Management and TeleTracking, our patient placement and tracking application. In her Vice President of Patient Flow capacity, Dr. Dwinell will ensure our patients transitions throughout the hospital will be as seamless and as timely as possible.

Sister Martha Ann Fitzpatrick
Vice President, Advocacy & Ministry Formation

For more than 60 years, Sister Martha Ann Fitzpatrick, a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, Congregation of St. Joseph (CSJ), has provided both professional and spiritual guidance for the health and well-being of the communities she has served. She came to Mission Hospital in 1994 when it was acquired by the St. Joseph Health. Initially serving as the hospital’s Vice President of Sponsorship, Sister Fitzpatrick has played an integral role in the formation of Mission Hospital’s healthcare ministry for nearly 15 years. She is responsible for the advocacy of health issues in the community the hospital serves. She also serves as a faculty member of Mission and Mentoring a system-wide program that aims to develop and form employees to carry on the mission and values of the Catholic health ministry.

A 24-year veteran of the St. Joseph Health, Eileen Haubl, CPA, was promoted to the position of VP and Chief Financial Officer in 2012. She is responsible for managing all aspects of Mission Hospital's financial, budgetary and accounting functions across both campuses, Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach. She is also responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Revenue Cycle, Information Technology, Clinical Informatics, Patient Access, Care Management, Supply Chain & Materials Management, Health Information Services, Property Management and all Hospital Joint Ventures & their related operations and financial performance.

Vice President, Quality and Patient Safety

Evelyn Schlosser comes to Mission Hospital with a rich background in quality and safety. Schlosser combines both her registered nurse knowledge, black belt six sigma certification and over 20 years of quality leadership experience to ensure Mission Hospital has the highest quality standards to ensure our patients are treated in the safest environment possible. As Vice President of Quality and Patient Safety, she is responsible for developing our Patient Safety and Performance Improvement programs, overseeing the effectiveness of our Infection Prevention and Regulatory Compliance programs, and managing our clinical quality and outcomes.

Chief Medical Officer Linda Sieglen, MD, MMM, joined Mission Hospital in October 2013. Dr. Sieglen serves an instrumental role in providing effective leadership and partnering with Mission Hospital physicians to foster our strategic transformation into an integrated health care delivery system. Dr. Sieglen began her career in 1987 at Princeton health care System in New Jersey, where she most recently held the position as Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs. From 1996 to 2008, she was the Chair of the Department of Anesthesia and the President of Princeton Anesthesia Services.

Terry Wooten serves as Vice President of Operations – Support Services reporting directly to the Chief Executive. Wooten is responsible for overall planning, development, coordination, implementation, and management of all administrative functions, services, and related business development activities. He is focused on ensuring high levels of customer service, strong physician partnerships and an engaged workforce in the delivery of care and services. Over the last 20 years, Wooten has held a variety of roles within the St. Joseph Health System most recently as Vice President of Clinical Supply Chain for St. Joseph Health.
