Jennifer Cord, RN, DNP, NE-BC

Chief Nursing Officer

Cord brings nearly 30 years of clinical and executive leadership experience to Mission Hospital. She comes to us from Presence Covenant Medical Center and Presence United Samaritans Medical Center, Presence Health a large Catholic health system in Illinois, where she served most recently as Regional Chief Operations, Ambulatory and Ancillary Officer. Cord was responsible for oversight of clinical and ancillary departments, working closely with the medical staff and clinical leaders to bring quality, patient-centered services to the community. Prior to this role she served as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care for the Presence Covenant Medical Center ministry. She also served on multiple community Boards including the YMCA, United Way, Crisis Nursery and Lakeview College of Nursing.

Cord started her career as a labor and delivery nurse, working in various nursing areas with the most recent eight years in executive hospital leadership. She has a Doctorate in Nursing (DNP) from Rush University. Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Governors University, Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from University of Phoenix, Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Graduate Certificate in Mission Leadership from Loyola University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), American Academy Ambulatory Care Nurses (AAACA) and American Nurses Association (ANA).
