Jennifer Cord, DNP

Chief Nursing Officer

Jennifer Cord brings nearly 30 years of clinical and executive leadership experience to Mission. She comes to us from Presence Covenant Medical Center and Presence United Samaritans Medical Center, a well-established Catholic health system in Illinois, where she served most recently as Regional Chief Operations, Ambulatory and Ancillary Officer. She was responsible for oversight of clinical and ancillary departments, working closely with the medical staff and clinical leaders to bring quality, patient-centered services to the community. She has also been responsible for strategic planning, forecasting and development of clinical programs and services, providing leadership, direction and mentoring. Prior to this role she served as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care for the Presence Covenant Medical Center ministry.

Jennifer started her career as a labor and delivery nurse and has a doctorate in nursing (DNP) from Rush University. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and will be graduating with her master’s in business administration (MBA) from Western Governors University in December. She also volunteers on multiple Boards including the YMCA, United Way and the Crisis Nursery.
