Mission Hospital Annual Black-Tie Gala to Raise Funds for Hospital


More than 650 guests will attend Mission Hospital’s16th annual black-tie gala at the St. Regis Monarch Beach on December 17, 2011. Last year’s event raised proceeds of $1 million for the hospital.

The evening will begin with a private VIP cocktail reception to honor the gala’s top sponsors. VIP guests will include Title Sponsor, The Nolet Family – Nolet Spirits U.S.A.: Janet and Carl Nolet, Jr., Bill Eldien and Ed Jordan. During the VIP reception, guests will be treated to a special tasting of Nolet Spirits’ new Nolet Silver Gin.

“All of the proceeds from the gala go directly to support Mission Hospital’s new $500 million campaign—Mission500—so that our skilled nurses and doctors can have the best technology available to save lives each and every day,” said Kenn McFarland, Mission Hospital’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

The gala will feature a silent and live auction. The silent auction will showcase travel packages, sports memorabilia, jewelry, and more. Guests will also have an opportunity to bid on a “Super Silent Auction Item”—a 2012 MAZDA Miata MX-5 Grand Touring car donated by Mazda North American Operations. Live auction highlights include: An Audi Sportscar Raceway experience;a “Day with the Doctor”—a chance to shadow one of Mission’s emergency department physicians; a five-day trip to Paris;a nine-day South African safari; diamond earrings and more.
