Mission Hospital Foundation Establishes Mission Cup and Honors Richard Gordinier

The Mission Cup recognizes community members who go “above and beyond” in service to the hospital.

Laguna Beach, CA – Mission Hospital Foundation is proud to announce that Laguna Beach resident Richard Gordinier is the first recipient of the Mission Cup. The Mission Cup was recently established to recognize members of the Mission Hospital Foundation Board of Directors for outstanding commitment and service.

“The foundation is deeply indebted and extremely grateful to each and every Board Member for the many and varied contributions to our work and the fulfillment of our mission to improve the health of our community,” said Cathleen A. Collins, chief development officer for Mission Hospital Foundation. “To help convey our appreciation, we have created the first ever Mission Cup to be awarded to a Board member who goes above and beyond in their service to Mission Hospital.”

Since his first connection with Mission Hospital in June 2012, Richard has shared tireless support for our ministry. He serves as a consummate ambassador, always looking for ways to engage new people. Richard fully embraces our values of Dignity, Service, Excellence and Justice, and honors the hospital’s commitment to care for the most vulnerable.

Richard’s many talents incorporate more than 40 years of senior management experience, including 27 years as the CEO and COO of both public and private companies. His impressive experience includes leadership positions at Van De Kamp Dutch Bakers, International Division of Max Factor and Co., Estee Lauder, Procter & Gamble and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
