  • Biography

Dr. Nekoranec’s background includes over 20 years of work in healthcare as a manager with multiple responsibilities as clinical and administrative director for outpatient psychiatric programs that were both hospital-based and free-standing. Her work involved the management of programs from the initial conceptualization phase to final completion and ongoing success of programs which was accomplished through specialized client-centered marketing plans, team selection, team building, and ongoing assessment. Her leadership roles include consultation for crisis in organizations, physician impairment, disability and forensic evaluations serving as an expert witness to the courts.

As a licensed psychologist in private practice in San Juan Capistrano, she assists individuals and groups to overcome obstacles to success and reach higher levels of well-being. Her treatment approach is grounded in research utilizing a cognitive behavioral approach in psychotherapy. She worked at Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center, Ingleside Hospital, College Hospital Cerritos, and College Hospital Costa Mesa.

Dr. Nekoranec’s leadership abilities range from in-depth evaluation of problems in organizations on both an individual and group level to working in collaboration with the executive in the selection of solution design. Her approach is rooted in the idea that evaluation drives the identification of issues, provides data for the design of a solution, the effect of change, and the possibility of emerging issues for consideration which occur on personal and group levels. Assessment is accomplished through active observation, interviews, and testing with a focus on continuous evaluation throughout the process of implementation and execution, and the follow-up phases of the project.

Janise establishes rapport easily and works in collaboration with executives throughout each phase of the project. The initial focus is on working closely together to identify issues of concern which is followed by an assessment process that results in a design solution for the executive’s consideration. Once a design solution has been selected, the execution of the plan and follow-up evaluations are done with a continued collaborative approach to ensure the ultimate success of the project.

Janise speaks on assessments, well-being and stress management, and communication. Her hobbies include reading, writing, backpacking especially in the Sierras, traveling, working out and walking, photography, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
