Each year the Mission Hospital Holiday Gala is an enormous success. Last
year the event raised more than $1 million - thanks to the engagement
of hundreds of inspired community members.
This year the evening will take guests on a journey through the wine country
and consist of a multi-course dinner paired with premier wines.
One of the special moments is the annual Fund a Need challenge which last
year raised more than $600,000 to support the dual-diagnosis mental health
unit at Mission Hospital Laguna Beach. This year proceeds from Fund a
Need will support the establishment of the Mission Cancer Institute. This
innovative and comprehensive institute will provide our community with
best-in-class access to the highest quality cancer care focusing on the
most prevalent forms of cancer in our community including: brain/central
nervous system, breast, colorectal, gynecologic, head and neck, lung,
melanoma, thoracic and urologic.
The remaining funds raised by the Holiday Gala will support advanced technology,
cutting-edge programs and services, nursing excellence and community benefit
programs that support the hospital’s seven clinical institutes:
Cancer, Heart and Vascular, Mental Health and Wellness, Neuroscience,
Orthopedics, Trauma and Women's & Infants.
The evening will also include live and super silent auctions and an After
Glow Party with entertainment, dancing, food and beverage until 1:00 a.m.
