Event Information:


Mission Hospital's Holiday Gala is the premier event of the year, consistently raising more than $1 million annually to support the world-class care provided each day at Mission Hospital. This year's event supports Mission Hospital's Emergency Department Expansion project at Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach. When patients seek care in our Emergency Departments, it is imperative that they receive prompt, efficient and life-saving care. We are in the process of expanding both of our Emergency Departments - Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach - in order to accomodate significant increases in patient volume over the past few years.

This project will modernize, enlarge and improve our facilities to help better serve patients and meet the needs of our growing community. On our Mission Viejo campus, the expansion includes additional beds, increased radiology staffing, expanded phlebotomy services, enhanced triage capabilities, and the implementation of a rapid discharge program. On our Laguna Beach campus, we are currently in the midst of a five-phase complete renovation of the Emergency Department. This project will expand the Emergency Department by 30 percent and increase our bed count to 20 to prevent overcrowding, reduce patient wait times, improve triage effectiveness and deliver optimal care.
