Genetic testing looks for specific mutations in a person's chromosomes.
The mutation may be harmful as well as may increase the chance of a person
developing cancer in a person's chromosomes, genes or proteins. Mutations
that are harmful may increase a person's chance, or risk, of developing
a disease such as cancer which is why we offer
genetic testing at Mission Hospital.
