Mind & Memory Program

The Mind & Memory Program at the Mission Mental Health & Wellness Center is a collaboration between Mission Hospital and the Alzheimer’s Family Center. This program is designed to address the special needs of individuals with a memory disorder who have developed a mental health issue that makes managing their daily tasks difficult.

Some of the more common memory disorders include:

  • Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
  • Early Onset Alzheimer’s
  • Vascular Dementia (VD)
  • Lewy Body Dementia (LBD)
  • Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD)

In addition to a memory disorder, our patients may suffer from one of the following:

  • Depression/Major Depressive Disorder
  • Anxiety
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
  • Delusions/Hallucinations
  • Paranoia
  • Amnesia
  • Loss or Grief
  • Hopelessness/Helplessness
  • Sleep difficulties

Personalized programs are comprised of individualized treatment, group therapy, enrichment activities and include additional services such as medication management, crisis intervention and anger management when needed. The Mind & Memory program is designed to help participants achieve their optimal level of mental health.

When choosing the Mind & Memory Program, participants receive personalized care in a supportive environment, and caregivers find assistance with the ongoing demand of caring for a loved one.

Program Hours:

Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Participants may attend up to four days a week)

Services are covered by Medicare and many commercial insurance plans.
