An Intake nurse greets every patient and completes a nursing assessment,
which includes taking temperature, blood pressure and pulse, and assessing
for symptoms of chemical withdrawal. As a full-service, acute care hospital
we can immediately address any urgent medical concerns. Next a tour of
our facility will be given, ending at the patient’s room, where
our staff will inventory belongings. If family members or friends are
present, we will ask them to complete a questionnaire.
Within 24-hours of admission, patients have the opportunity to meet with
a physician and be assigned a "buddy" to show them around, help
them feel comfortable, and assist with the overall orientation process.
Within the first few days of arrival, patients are also assigned a Primary
Counselor to serve as a guide and mentor throughout all phases of treatment.
Orange County Airport (SNA) is the closest airport to the Mission Pacific
Coast Recovery. Patients may also consider arriving at the Long Beach
Airport (LGB), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or San Diego International
Airport (SAN). We are also just a short drive from the Irvine, CA, train station.
